Transfers came! I survived! Oct 16, 2017

So I didn’t move, I’m still in Deer Valley. Elder Taylor got the axe though. He’s now been shipped to Buckeye. Actually my old area there. He’ll like it :) my new comp is Elder Packard. He’s a cool guy! He is from Kansas City, but the Missouri part. He’s a baseball guy.

This week was fun, mostly just introducing Elder Packard to everyone. We’ve almost made all the stops. We’re going to start teaching Mariah every week. We found a recent convert who needs their follow up, after baptism lessons. Shakeen needs his follow up lessons. We’re finding a lot of other people to teach too. It’s been really cool and pretty fun. I know the ward leaders now and we’re all starting to collaborate more so that’s cool too!

Today we went bowling as a district and Mariah took us to eat Pho. It was weird. I should have taken a picture of the food. Bowling was fun too. I got an honest 102! Woohoo!

Something cool I learned in studies is that there really is nothing we can do without Christ or the gift of the Holy Ghost, or without God. We just can’t. Once we admit that without Him we are powerless it gives us so much strength. That’s hard to wrap your head around. Because you think that if you admit that you can’t do anything because you are not strong enough how can you do anything. Well it’s because we become humble. If we are humble enough to recognize that we need God then we will rely on Him. Then His strength, His Grace will make us whole and will give us that strength we need. Just like the believers of Christ in the Book of Mormon (Mosiah 24:14-15) God doesn’t take away the burden either but we get the strength to bear it. He holds it with us. But don’t think that you can do it without Him. God isn’t going to tell you that you’re strong enough to do it on your own. And God knows it too, that’s why he won’t leave you.

Keep it real bros! Luv u all!
