They came to church! Wow! Oct 23, 2017

Yo!

We had a breakfast with our stake president this week. It’s also a meeting for the stake missionary efforts. So our stake president is also a rancher, which means he gets up very very early. He was up for two hours before we started the meeting. And he woke up at four. Those Tuesday meetings at 6:00 are really good but that entire Tuesday I am so tired!

We also tried a volleyball activity as a YSA mission council to bring some more people into the activities and make contact with some people we haven’t normally been able to and it kinda worked but not in the way we thought it would. So before we started there was someone there who knows an investigator we have been trying to get back in contact with recently and she knew him. So now we have contact again! It was awesome!

We had our first lesson with Brianna. It was awesome! She is friends with a return missionary from Illinois and he asked her if the missionaries could practice teaching with her. So now we are teaching her lessons and I really think she’s going to read and pray.

This Friday we had an awesome experience with McDonalds. So it was very late after a very long day so we decided to get some food. I love getting a spicy mcchicken and a plain McDouble, throwing out one bun and smashing them together. So we went to McDonald’s. While we were there the lady at checkout said that she loved our ties. She said she wishes she could wear ties, but that she has to wear dresses. Then she admitted that she doesn’t actually go to church. So we invited her and she said she just moved in and would love to go to church and get to know people.

Stake Conference happened this week too! Elder Tillman of the 70 came and he was super awesome! President Smith from the mission presidency wanted to get a picture with him afterward so we got our whole district in a picture with him. P Smith is a bro!

This week we also had a less active and a nonmember just randomly decide that they wanted to come to church. I asked Elder Taylor who worked with them a lot about it and he said that’s huge. So they are definitely more prepared than I thought. That was super cool to see!

It was a spiritual week and I hope you guys all have an amazing week ahead of you!

Signing out, Elder Gray
