We had a lesson Wednesday with that family too. The video call with them was on Sunday. We needed a ride again and we were able to find one without having to get stuck up there all day. A brother named Stan gave us a ride up and he’s an awesome guy. Since you haven’t met him he’s basically an older more intense version of me. One of my favorite old guys I’ve met on my mission. He was super spiritual in the lesson. Once their dogs came out tho they lost all focus. :P
We had dinner and a lesson with this one awesome family in the ward. Btw chicken and waffles is awesome!! We’ve been running through the lessons with their kid cuz he’s about to turn 9. We haven’t brought up baptism yet bc he’s still a child of record but we’ve been hoping that he will be. The family doesn’t come all that much to church but the kid actually brought it up at dinner. He asked if he had a date set for baptism. The kid has such a strong testimony, he might be what brings his whole family closer to Christ which would be so amazing to watch. Kids really are strong in the spirit.
I’m loving it here in Williams. It’s a little out of the way. It’s pretty cold. But it’s an awesome place. There’s always tourists to talk to and the members here love and love helping us as the missionaries. There are really good people out here and a lot more good to do. Since I’ve gotten a coat my attitude has really changed.
I wanted to take a minute to say how important the sacrament is. If you really take the time to focus on Christ you’ll find that there isn’t a more important and more spiritually healthy thing you can do during the week than renewing your convents and promises with God. That’s why we go to church.
