Things this week were good, they were also loud and bright and 1 billion volts every few seconds. There were so many monsoons this week. Our backyard is still sopping. It was cool though. Other than that it was a pretty normal week.
I went on exchanges, twice actually and both with Elder Schmid. He's super cool. He's the tech support guy in the mission so he's always getting calls about iPads not working. They find him even when he's hiding in my area with my phone. Haha, he's cool.
We also had interviews with the president this week. He's an awesome guy! President Collins is on fire. He's super into it and loves helping us out. It's been an adventure with him while he's learning everything about everyone and learning the ropes. He's been working super hard for us and I hope we're grateful as a mission.
We taught our new investigator Brianna today. One of the members in our ward is dating this girl who's moving to Flagstaff soon but she's interested in the Gospel of Jesus Christ so we'll teach her up until
she moves and then the missionaries up there will keep up the lessons. But she's super solid. She said the other day that she's been praying to know if the Book of Mormon is true and that is coming over to teach her could be an answer for her. It was cool, but she still has other questions and really wants to learn for herself.
We had another district members last district meeting. I realized that other than my companions, everyone that comes to surprise dies in Surprise. There isn't a single missionary who wasn't my companion that served in the district that didn't finish their mission here. It was crazy. I'm sad to see another missionary leave here but they're going to love seeing family and friends so it's ok.
The temple dedication was awesome!!
Something I learned from President in our interviews is how faith and fear are opposites. Just like how faith is a principle of action, so is fear and that you can't have perfect faith if you have any more and you won't fear if you have perfect faith. So if you work towards having faith, all the fears we have can be swept away. We just need to be doing things to show where our faith is to get us out of the fear. So have faith y'all.
